Perry Warren who once operated his own neighbor ice cream business. “We will be holding mini-pop up events where customers can get some seasonal favorites like Pumpkin Pie and apple pie ices,” said owner Jackie McGonigal. The owners of the Yardley Ice House, located at 77 S Main Street in Yardley, have just announced a second location that is being planned for the spring. The new shop, the Newtown Ice House, will be located at 156 North State Street in Newtown. The shop is a nearby addition to the popular Yardley Ice House, located at 77 South Main Street in Yardley, which has also closed for the season.
As it happens, the couple’s season will truly kick off this Saturday, Mar 11, at noon, when their Yardley Ice House location reopens, which sits a mere 10 minutes from the upcoming outpost. Yardley Ice House owners Jackie and Todd McGonigal are opening the doors to the new Newtown Ice House Saturday afternoon. Jackie is also excited to announce that the Newtown Ice House will be serving its water ice during the 2023 summer concert series at Crossing Vineyards & Winery in Upper Makefield. Under their ownership, Yardley Ice House won Best of Philly in 2003, 2012, 2013 and in 2016 when it graced the cover of Philadelphia Magazine as the best water ice in the Delaware Valley.
